I have worked as a consultant for over 25 years covering the technical, non-technical, behavioural, policy and strategic aspects of sustainable energy and climate change.

Having graduated with a BSc in Applied Physics and MSc in Environmental Resources I joined the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) in Bristol where I worked in a variety or roles including Energy Advisor, Technical Consultant, Head of Policy and Research and Head of Advice and Partnerships.

After twelve years with CSE I left to set up my own consultancy  – Climate Works Ltd  – specialising in the development of evidence based policy on energy and climate change for public and private sector clients.

In 2016 I joined the Sustainability Team at Bristol City Council to work where I work part-time on the implementation and development of low carbon, renewable energy and climate change policies.

I continue to work as an independent consultant and as post-graduate researcher on climate change policy at the University of Exeter.
