A study into how the parish of Wedmore in Somerset (UK) and surrounding parishes could meet its annual requirement for power, heating and cooling renewably.
South Gloucestershire Council
A consultancy contract covering a variety of topics including the development of a heat main (network) to transfer waste heat from Avonmouth and Severnside to Bristol via South Gloucestershire for use in local heat networks, the development of zero carbon planning policies as part of the Local Plan review, and development of renewable energy generation projects.
Bristol City Council
Project management of a study on the ‘Phase 2’ expansion of the heat network in the centre of Bristol, the decarbonisation of network heat and connection to the strategic heat network bringing low carbon waste heat into Bristol. Preparation of a ‘Connection Pack’ for architects, developers and M & E engineers working on new
development in Bristol City Council’s Heat Priority Area.
Frome Town Council
Preparation of two studies, one developing a local response to the Paris Agreement (2015), and a follow-up study on how Frome could achieve net zero emissions by 2046.
